There are many different VNC Servers for the Windows platform. A good choice is the free version from realvncDownload the free Edition from here. If using the Personal or Enterprise realvnc version, use our VNC guide for Vista

Run the downloaded realvnc installer. Use if possible the default values in the installer.

After the installation has been completed, the VNC Server must be configured.
| In Authentication , Select Configure |
| Define a password for the VNC Server. Write it down, as it must later be used in iPhone VNC. Select [OK] and the server is ready. |
In the Windows tray the realvnc server is shown. To see the IP address for the server move the cursor over the icon:
